Beyond The Hoop Partners with Whole Foods

Whole Foods Clarendon featured Beyond the Hoop for their September Community Day in September. The food retailer donates five percent of sales from one day to a local charity.

Whole Foods noted that the day chosen for Beyond the Hoop, sales were up seven percent, find more here. Thanks to everyone who made a special trip for groceries.

Beyond the Hoop & Hoops4Hope

After three long months at sea, the athletic shoes collected by Beyond the Hoop arrived in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Older boy holding shoesMark Crandall, New York director for Hoops4Hope, for whom the shoes were collected, happened to be in Zimbabwe when the shoes arrived.

Beyond the Hoop collected more than 2000 pairs of shoes for kids who play sports mainly in their bare feet pacific dreamscapes. Now, thanks to many of you who donated, these kids will have athletic footwear to play games.
